Guests are encouraged to review our Booking Terms & Conditions, prior to making a reservation. The Booking Terms provide answers to many commonly asked questions; some of which are provided below.

ROOM RESERVATION

You’ll always enjoy our best rates when you book directly with us, either online or by phone.  

We accept American Express, Master Card, Visa, Interact, e-transfers and Apple Pay.

To confirm a reservation, a deposit (1 night’s stay), payable at the time of booking is required. If a reservation is made through Booking.com or Expedia, guests will be contacted by Harlem Stonegate directly. For reservations longer than one night, the remaining balance including any incidentals are due before departure.

 

Information on cancellations or changes to a reservation can be found  in our Cancellation Policy.

Room rates are based on double occupancy (see Booking Terms & Conditions). For groups of three (3) who require an additional bed but not an additional room, we can provide: an extra bed (twin) for a guest age 13+ ($75.00pn); a sleep cot for a guest age 3 – 13 ($35.00pn); and a travel crib for a guest under age 3 ($5.00pn) in the Hayfield or Stonegate guest rooms only. This cost is per day and includes daily breakfast for the additional guest. 

Check-in time is 16:00 – 22:00; departure is by 11:00. Early arrival requests (before 16:00) must be made in writing and your arrival time confirmed by Harlem Stonegate. Guest arriving after 22:00, please advise us.

We can store your luggage if you decide to spend some time on the property or in the area after check-out. Just ask!

Guest rooms, common areas, garden, and grounds are serviced daily 11:00 – 16:00 (housekeeping, deep cleaning and general up-keep). We will endevour to accommodate all guest requests and will confirm early arrival times with guests.

Personalize your stay with a wide selection of our add-ons and services. Whether you prefer fresh floral arrangements, a luxurious high tea service or our multi-course fine dining menu, we are here to make your stay exceptional.  Our list of current add-ons can be found here.

BREAKFAST & OTHER OPTIONS

Yes! We provide daily complimentary gourmet breakfast for our guests. Breakfast is comprised of your choice of tea or coffee, juice, fresh fruit, homemade granola, greek yogurt, and a hot main course. Our menu changes daily based on fresh seasonal ingredients available from our garden and local area.

We’ll gladly accommodate guests with dietary restrictions. where possible, and endeavour to prepare special requests. Prior to arrival, please call, send us an email, or use the Comments & Requests section of the booking form to provide details. We’ll contact you directly, if required, to clarify your dietary request(s).

Breakfast is served from  07:00 –  09:00 

Breakfast is served in the dining room (‘green-room’), screened veranda, or garden gazebo, weather permitting.

Non-B&B guest breakfast service is offered and subject to available seating. Spend time with colleagues, family or friends while you enjoy our freshly prepared multi-course gourmet breakfast, featuring the finest quality seasonal ingredients.

We offer our complimentary breakfast and an assortment of snacks and water in-room upon arrival. Our coffee & tea station, located in the ‘green-room’ (1st floor), features drinks, packaged snacks and homemade treats available to guests 24/7.

In addition to our complimentary offerings, guests are welcome to select from our add-on services (i.e,. high tea, charcuterie boards, strawberries & bubbly, etc.) or reserve a private dining experiences for special occasions or celebrations. For our guests convenience, any charges incurred will be added to your final bill.

The Rideau Lakes and Rideau Canal District of South Eastern Ontario is an amazing region with uniquely well-preserved natural beauty resulting in a variety of outdoor activities, and fascinating glimpses into the region’s (and Ontario’s) rich history. There are so many ways to enjoy your time, regardless of which season you choose for your visit. 

Yes! We love introducing new people to the wonders of South Eastern Ontario; and are pleased to share our favourite experiences and local spots with you. Depending on your personal preferences, we can curate a unique itinerary for your stay that takes you around our beautiful region. GENERAL

yes, we offer our guests complimentary on-site parking.


Due to the historic nature of the property, there are no elevators available. Our guest rooms are located on the 2nd floor and accessed via stairs.

Yes! We have complimentary Wi-Fi; the password will be available upon check-in.

Harlem Stonegate is a smoke free environment. For fire safety reasons, smoking is also not permitted anywhere on the grounds except in designated outdoor smoking areas. Please pick up after yourself and help keep our property beautiful.

A cleaning fee of $150.00 will be applied to a guest’s credit card for anyone in their party who smokes or burns any substance within any buildings on the property.

Children are welcome however, our rooms have a maximum occupancy of 2 guests, Please review our Booking Terms & Conditions for detailed information. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times while on the premises. 

Out of courtesy to our guests with allergies, we can not accommodate pets. 

Guest rooms, common areas, garden, and grounds are serviced daily 11:00 – 16:00 (housekeeping, deep cleaning or general up-keep).

Guests are provided a room key and access code to the front door upon arrival for the duration of a stay. 

If you loose your room key, just let us know and we can arrange for a new key. Please note that lost keys are charged at a rate of $45.00/key. 

Each guest has a key code that allows for 24/7 entry into the B&B through the front door, so you may come and go as you wish. We do ask that you be mindful of other guests when you enter and leave the premises. Our quiet hours are from 22:00 – 07:00 daily.
